Caramelized Onions on Your Pizza

There's no better place for caramelized onions than on a pizza. The extra roasting in the oven only enhances the onions already rich and heady flavours.

Lately I've been using naan bread for a pizza base. Naan bread is like pita bread except that it has a softer, more pliable texture. It's quite delicious and goes especially good with stew or soup.

So, spread some pasta sauce on a pita or naan bread, add the caramelized onions, mushrooms and black olives. Top with a great cheese like Havarti and some oregano. Bake until the cheese is melted.

Tip: Always have pita or naan bread in your freezer - it freezes well.
