I always kind of shake my head when I see the garlic butter for sale at the grocery store.
First of all, you have to know the garlic isn't fresh. Or it's garlic salt! (Blech!)
Second of all, it can be pricey, for what it is.
Third of all, well, there is no third of all, I just like to number things off...
Anyway, make your own garlic butter.
Combine 3 T. of butter with a clove of garlic. How much garlic you add is completely dependent on the importance of your social life in the next day or so...
Butter up a sliced baguette, French loaf, or any kind of bread for your base - be creative!
And, to perk up your garlic toast, sprinkle grated cheese on the bread and broil just until bubbly and toasted. You can use cheddar, or any cheese that you choose.
I like my garlic toast sprinkled with fresh parmesan, then lightly broiled to a toasted state. Yum!
Happy Cooking!
