Grilled Tuna Steaks

The 2 pieces of tuna steaks that we bought from the other day for only $11 with the help of our MVP(grocery club) card were so gorgeous I was scared I was going to screw it up. As soon as my husband and I saw it at the seafood section we were practically drooling. With that anticipation I wanted to make sure I cook them right. A sure fire way was grilling of course. Seasoning of salt and pepper would've been just fine but I was in an adventurous mood so I made a simple marinade to add more flavour.

INGREDIENTS:
a couple drizzle of olive oil
juice of half lemon
salt and pepper
sprinkle of garlic powder
a couple drizzle of sherry wine

Whisk everything together. Marinate the tuna steaks 30 minutes before grilling. In a medium heat, grill both sides, 8-10 minutes on each sides. Or longer, depending on your grill. That's about it.

I received a lot of praises. The fish was cooked all the way through but just enough to not burn it. I was actually nervous about that. I didn't want the outside parts grilled while the insides were raw. Kinda tricky if you ask me. But I prevailed :) .

Served with couscous and sauteed yellow squash and zuchini. If my husband and I didn't drink the whole bottle of wine the night before, it would've been a great addition to the meal, hah.
