It was burger and fries night at our house last night. This is one of my family's favorite night coz I allow us to eat our dinner in our living room while watching the TV. Last night we watched Open Season while we chomped on our homemade burgers and fries.
For the patties, I combined together ground beef, 1 egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Don't be afraid to get your hand in the mixture. To make the patty, form a ball first, like a meatball then just pat it down to shape it flat. Cook both sides on a non stick pan, then add slices of cheese on top at the last minute. I like my burger with ketchup and spicy brown mustard, with light mayo on the buns.
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice the potatoes in wedges. In a bowl, combine 2 tbps of olive oil, sprinkles of garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper. Dump the potatoes in the bowl and coat evenly. Lay the wedges on a baking sheet, bake them in the pre-heated oven for 35 minutes. Last step is to sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on the wedges, then flip 'em over using a spatula. Put the pan back in the oven and bake for another 10 minutes. YUMMY!
