I really can't eat just one

Terra chips

I confess. I'm the only person I know who doesn't like potato chips. Don't mistake my reticence at the chip bowl at parties for willpower -- I simply don't like chips.

Except when it comes to the colorful crisps made by Terra Chips. I almost never buy these chips because once I open a bag it's as good as gone. Here's another confession. I bought a bag to stock the pantry for the people renting my house for the Kentucky Derby. But this weekend I needed a salty snack for cocktail hour and I couldn't resist the siren call of the thick crunchy Terra Chips.

If you haven't had them, put them on your shopping list. Make no mistake -- these aren't huge cheap bags of junk food. They're pricey, come in small bags, and will leave you craving more. Start with Terra PotpourriĀ® Potato Chips, a combination of yukon gold, blue, huckleberry and/or red thumb potatoes and, sweet potatoes. The blues are my favorite (if you've flown Jet Blue, you've tasted these chips -- they're the official snack of the airline).

I love that the only ingredients in the chips are potatoes, canola oil and sea salt. No partially hydrogenated oils, no dreaded high fructose corn syrup. Just yummy (and did I mention highly addictive?) potatoes fried and salted perfectly to please your palate.

Plan to serve the chips at your next cocktail party, or the next time you open a bottle. And do ask me over.
