It's all in the Mix : Menudo/Afritada

menudo_rice.jpgBesides adobo(and others), one of the many Filipino dishes my family has learned to love is Menudo. My husband actually said one night, "you should make this more often". Hey, who am I to say no? :). Now everytime I go to the Commissary (Military grocery store), I stock up on the Mamasita mix so I can make this one day a week. I could never be able to make this from scratch so I rely on the packet mix. You can buy this and any other kind of Mamasita mixes from any Oriental stores. If you don't have one nearby, you can just as easily buy them online through Pilipino Mart.

The ingredients list and instructions on how to make this dish is located on the back of the package. Bear in mind, I alternate what kind of meat I use. Sometimes I use pork as well. The other night was beef.
