Kitchen Life: A CONTEST!

I received Art Smith's Kitchen Life: Real Food for Real Families--Even Yours! as a gift. Guess what? There isn't a recipe in this book I can use. Not one. OK, maybe one or two. But for the most part, this book just didn't cut it at all for my family. Mostly it has to do with ingredients. Lots of pork and pork products, which we do not eat. Ditto on the shellfish. And they mix dairy products with meat, which we also don't eat. So, the book is worthless to me.

But that doesn't mean it isn't worthless to YOU! No, dear reader, you might love this book. Art Smith used to be Oprah's personal chef, and the recipes in the book are healthy, light, and probably pretty darn good. They appear to be fast and easy, just like the cover of the book promises.

The contents divides the book up into two parts. The first part talks about getting organized in the kitchen, shopping secrets, maximizing your time, different cooking techniques, and working with your family's tastes.

The second part contains the recipes, including snacks, soups, beverages, sandwiches, salads, main courses, and even some desserts. On Amazon, the book received 5 stars from their customer reviews. So it's just a book that doesn't fit our lifestyle. Which is fine, because I'm going to offer it as a prize in a CONTEST!
