Not Just A Boring Bowl Of Ramen Noodles

I refuse to just boil water, dunk the noodles and pour the seasonings to have a bowl of ramen noodles. There are ways to make it enjoyable with all the fixings you could possibly think off. Yes, ramen noodles are convenient but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. Add some bacon, scallions, shreds of cabbage(my favorite is napa cabbage), the possibilities are endless.

For yesterday's lunch, I sauteed chopped 1 scallion, sliced deli ham and leftover crab meat. Seasoned with salt and pepper. I drained the water off the ramen noodles, sprinkled the seasoning on top. You can either add the packet seasoning while boiling the noodles but I prefer to season mine after I drained the water. Then kicked it up a notch by sprinkling red pepper flakes. Coz I like my food HOT and spicy :) .

You can certainly experiment to make your own masterpiece of ramen noodles. Check out your leftovers. Chop some fresh vegetables, sautee them in oil for a bit. Deli Turkey or ham, bacon bits, whatever leftover meat you have from the previous night. Like I said, go to town :)
