Passover Chocolate Orange Mousse

A chocolate mousse recipe for the Passover? No joke. Chocolate mousse recipes for the Passover holiday abound. There are even variations that include other flavors in a chocolate mousse recipe. On that note, I've selected a chocolate-orange mousse recipe for you to try out. This chocolate mousse is non-dairy and can be served either at the Passover Seder or at any other dinner meal during Passover.

Passover Chocolate Orange Mousse Recipe

4 large eggs
1 teaspoon finely grated fresh orange zest
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups Passover semisweet chocolate chips (9 ounces)
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup fresh orange juice (juice of 1 medium orange)
3/4 cup unsalted Passover margarine
Grated Passover chocolate, fresh orange slices for garnish

Instructions for the Passover Chocolate Orange Mousse recipe:

Serves 8.

Tip for the Baker: For best results, this chocolate orange mousse should be served on the same day as it is made, although the chocolate orange mousse recipe can be made two days in advance. Warm the chocolate orange mousse for 30 minutes prior to serving it. This will soften the chocolate orange mousse and will enhance the flavor of the chocolate.
