Peas from the Garden: Pick 'Em & Eat 'Em

Having a vegetable garden is handy. If I need some lettuce or swiss chard, I just walk 20 feet and there it is. The not so handy part is when it come to weeding. If there is someone who likes to partake in weeding let me know, because I will need to see it to believe it.

I don't have time for the little weeds, I wait until they're a good foot or so before I go in for the pull.

Every year I have good intentions of keeping a tidy garden with neat, crisp rows, but every year, about this time, my garden becomes a jungle. Who knew things could grow so crazy in the city? You'd think this sort of growth could only occur on a farm...

Needless to say, I know what I'm looking for in my garden - luckily I wrote down what I planted back in May!

The peas are a bonus, on the days that I'm too lazy to make lunch, I send the kids into the pea patch to eat...

Happy Cooking!
