Quick Dessert for Hot Weather

In Israel, where I used to live, fruit soups are common fare. In fact, many people make a fruit soup for lunch daily in the hot weather, as the climate can be brutal and a cold fruit soup is soothing as well as delicious. With that in mind, here's an old family recipe for Strawberry Soup.

STRAWBERRY SOUP

• 2 pounds fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  
• 2 cups buttermilk
  
• 1/2 cup Sabra Liqueur (Israeli Orange Liquer)
  
• 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  
• 1/4 - 1/2 cup sugar, to taste.

Blend all above in a blender and serve chilled.
