The Winter Squash Files: Kabocha

Kabocha is a Japanese variety winter squash. It is dark green with light coloured stripes. Once you cut it open you'll see that it's yellow-orange inside. (Surprise!)

Use this squash as you would any other squash. It has a sweet mild flavour that will work well as an added ingredient is stews or as a side dish. Baking is your best bet if you are eating it on it's own as a side dish.

And remember, anything orange is packed with anti-oxidants...(You're gonna be so healthy!!!)

Happy Cooking!
