Willy Wonka Weekend: It's All about Chocolate

My wish came true! There really is a Chocolate Show! Just the other day I was saying how cool it would be if there was a Chocolate Show, y'know, just like Home and Garden Shows, or Boat Shows, except the show I was dreaming of would be all chocolate!

Well, lo and behold, New York hosts a huge Chocolate Show every year. This year is the show's 10th year and it promises to bigger and better than ever! Scheduled to take place from November 9 thru 11th, 2007, it's going to be a goodie! Included in the line up are over 65 chocolate brands, chocolate cooking demonstrations, and chocolate & Grand Marnier tastings.

For the kids there's the chance to paint with dark chocolate on a white chocolate canvas. (Not something the typical mom offers between play doh and puzzles...)

This is something I think I could suffer through...there's even a company that will help plan this Willy Wonka Weekend for me - CocoaVentures. All I can say is sign me up!

If you happen to be in Europe then you might want to check out the Chocolate Festival in Obidos Portugal - this year on March 15th

Obidos is a walled village about a 40 minute drive from Lisbon - well worth the visit with or without a choclatefest!
